About Stage Door
Stage Door School for Performing Arts provides a safe, friendly and lively environment where young people can gain self-confidence and develop new skills in all aspects of performing arts. Students work along side qualified teachers and experienced professionals from the performing arts industry, including actors, dancers, singers, stage managers, television producers and writers. We strive to offer the latest techniques in use within the industry and choose teachers who can provide students with a diverse range of practical skills and continually support and encourage each student to achieve their full potential.
At Stage Door School we believe that any young person, regardless of their background or previous experience can benefit from our classes. Our weekly workshops help each student to develop high standards in a variety of performance disciplines as well as expanding a wide range of life skills such as awareness of body language, co-operation, observation, co-ordination, concentration, and the encouragement of an active imagination. Time spent at Stage Door School for Performing Arts also helps to develop a healthy self-confidence in all of our students.
Agency
Stage Door's agency runs in conjunction with the performing arts school and gives some of our students the opportunity for professional work in television, film, radio, theatre and new media. All of our students have the option to audition for the agency if they wish to do so. However, please be aware that acceptance into Stage Door's performing arts school does not guarantee entry into the agency.
